Senior Media Planner

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Who We Need:

Our full-service advertising agency is looking for a motivated and talented Senior Media Planner to support our Media Services department in primarily digital direct-response marketing campaigns. This is a client-facing role that will be directly involved in the planning and execution of advertising campaigns across a number of clients, primarily in the nonprofit vertical. You will collaborate with multiple departments including Account Management, Analytics & Insights, Creative and Business Development.

Background Needed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or a related field
  • 4 to 6 years of digital media agency experience; proven ability to independently manage the full life cycle of a campaign (research/planning, launch/optimization, insights/reporting)
  • Detail oriented with a solid understanding of ad technology and the programmatic landscape
  • Mastery of media math and terminology
  • Superb communication skills:
    • Be comfortable and well versed in compiling proposals, POVs and explaining strategy
    • Clarity and professionalism in client communication
    • Strong presentation skills

  • Must be organized and efficient while working on multiple tasks

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with the following:
    • Ad-serving systems (i.e. DoubleClick) and media operations
    • Social media advertising platforms (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
    • Managing campaigns across display, social and programmatic
    • Self-service demand side platforms (DSPs) and managed service buys
  • Familiarity with media research/planning tools
  • SEM/SEO experience is a plus
  • Offline channel experience is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement and manage media buys across several clients independently
  • Day-to-day campaign management including but not limited to campaign structure creation, ad trafficking, reporting and analysis and audience research across display, video, SEM, native and paid social media
  • Evaluation of proposals from vendors to identify unique and compelling placements for reaching target audiences
  • Review and communicate campaign status to team members and clients (i.e. preparing optimization reports and addressing how to improve campaign performance)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships internally and with external partners
